1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Critical Analysis public website, web-based analysis service, related account and workspace features, and browser extension. “Critical Analysis,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of these services.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that you visit, link to, or submit for analysis. Those services operate under their own privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account and contact information: such as your name, email address, organization, and account credentials.
- Content submitted for analysis: such as text, selections, URLs, page content, images, or other material you choose to analyze.
- Requests and communications: information you include in beta requests, enterprise inquiries, support messages, or feedback.
Information collected through use
- Service activity: analysis requests, generated results, feature interactions, timestamps, and account or workspace associations.
- Technical information: browser type, device information, IP address, diagnostic events, and security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
3. Browser extension behavior
The browser extension is designed to let you initiate an analysis from your browser. Depending on the action you choose, it may access the active page, text you select, or a URL you enter. That content is transmitted to Critical Analysis systems so the requested analysis can be performed and returned.
The extension may also store limited local settings and authentication state needed to keep you signed in and preserve your selected environment or preferences.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, generate, save, and display requested analyses;
- authenticate users and maintain accounts, workspaces, permissions, and usage limits;
- operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the service;
- respond to support requests, beta applications, and enterprise inquiries;
- detect abuse, fraud, security incidents, or violations of applicable terms; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
We do not use browser extension data to serve targeted advertising.
6. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain account and analysis history, meet legal and operational requirements, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods can vary by information type, account configuration, and workspace requirements.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No online service or storage method can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices
You can choose what content to submit, stop using the service, sign out, or remove the browser extension at any time. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information associated with you.
To make a privacy request, email hello@criticalanalysis.io. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request.
8. Children’s privacy
Critical Analysis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the request.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the effective or “last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or another appropriate channel.
